Indoor Rock Climbing in Las Cruces

The climbing wall at NMSU provides open recreation and educational climbing experiences.  We offer classes for beginners and advanced climbers that will help you achieve new heights.  Rock climbing is an activity that can improve overall health throughout life.

NMSU Outdoor Recreation climbing wall is located in room 130 inside the Activity Center. All registered NMSU students, faculty and staff may climb during normal operating hours at no cost. All climbers must sign a waiver and pass an orientation prior to using the NMSU Climbing Wall. If you are already skilled in climbing and belaying, you may opt to pass a skills check instead of attending a full orientation. Come by and sharpen your climbing and bouldering skills.
